Okay, stick with us because there is a lot of important information we are about to provide you!
First, after you decide you want to book with us, we will send you a link for our online contract. Once that is signed and the retainer fee is paid, your officiant will send you their name, address, and phone number to provide to the township when applying for the marriage license. Call the township you live in, make an appointment to apply for the license (the township will tell you what is required with that), and then pick up your marriage license approximately 2-4 weeks before the wedding ceremony (if it's sooner than that, it's fine. But do not pick up the license until you are less than 4 weeks away). You bring the license with you on the day of the ceremony which your officiant and two witnesses will sign immediately after the ceremony. Your officiant will then take care of registering the license in the town where the ceremony was performed.
We sure do! Every package includes up to 10 miles. Any additional mileage over 10 miles would be $1/mile (one way).
Ex. If the location is 20 miles away, the travel charge is just $10.
We can! If you are in need of one or both witnesses needed for the ceremony, we can provide them at the cost of $50 per witness (plus any applicable travel).

Absolutely. Everyone is an ordained minister and legally recognized by the State of NJ to perform wedding ceremonies, as well as certified and registered with several other states.
Currently we perform ceremonies within one hour of central NJ, including parts of Bucks County, PA and Staten Island, NY.

We do that, too! Whether you already got married without telling anyone, or just simply did a court ceremony and now want one with friends and family, we are more than willing to conduct a full ceremony tailored to your needs. Only difference is, there is no marriage license to sign afterwards!
Nope, because they can never make things easy, right? Once we register the license with the township where the ceremony took place, you have to request a copy of the marriage certificate separately. They will not automatically send one to you. Typically this costs $10-$20 and you can usually find the form by googling “request vital record (insert town name)”. The form should say how much the fee is. Then either you or your spouse needs to show an ID when picking up the certificate, or mail a photo copy of your ID if requesting the certificate by mail.

First, you request a copy of the marriage certificate with the township in which the ceremony took place. Then you take the marriage certificate with you, identification, and this form and bring it to the social security office. Alternatively, you can mail your documents in (I suggest sending them certified). They will send your documents back to you (i.e. the original marriage certificate) along with your new social security card.
After you change your last name with social security, you’ll want to take that crisp, new social security card and head to the DMV for a new license. Once that’s done, then you can start working on updating everything else such as your bank accounts.
*Tip: you can take your spouse’s last name by changing your last name to the new one, hyphenating your last name and including the new one, or adding the new one to your last name with just a space.
